INNOVATION CONSULTANT

We are seeking a motivated and driven individual to join our team as an Innovation Consultant.

As an Innovation Consultant, you will be part of our very dynamic teams and play a pivotal role in collaborating closely with our clients in various fields such as Life Sciences & Heath, Green & Sustainable Innovations, Deep Tech and guide them along their innovation journey, and turning their ideas into tangible reality.

Responsibilities

You will take a leading role in defining, shaping and co-developing their innovation strategy, financing strategies, development pathway, commercialization strategy and project plan, and set-up collaborations. As the trusted guide and critical partner to our clients, it will be your mission to lead our clients towards success. You will report to the Managing consultant and have the opportunity to grow into a Managing Consultant or Senior Consultant position.

• Independently developing project proposals for our clients in the fields of Life Sciences & Health, Green & Sustainable Innovations and/or Deep tech.
• Coordinate and manage the project application process with client and (large) stakeholder groups.
• Writing project proposals, grant applications, business cases, and business plans for clients applying to EU-funded programs such as EIC Accelerator, Eurostars, and Horizon Europe, as well as national funding schemes.
• Providing strategic advice on the positioning of projects towards funding agencies.
• Actively thinking with clients about business, commercialization and/or development strategies and positioning of their innovations and technologies.
• Performing market research and desk research within the diverse fields of our clients.
• Facilitating long-term partnerships between companies, universities, and research institutes.
• Actively follow new developments and innovations in the industry and contribute to strengthen our expertise.
• Guiding and coaching of fellow team members.
• Establish and maintain long-term client relationships and identify and act on new funding opportunities for our established clients.

Qualifications

We are seeking candidates with:

• A passion for innovation.
• A relevant Master’s degree, preferably with a Life Science & Health; Green & Sustainable Innovations, and/or business focus.
• Substantial experience (3+ years) in grant writing, strategic planning, science communication, or in managing and coordinating large projects.
• At least 3 years of work experience in a commercial environment, preferably in a client-facing advisory/consulting role
• Demonstrable insights into the development of innovations from ideation to commercialization in the field of Life Science & Health, Green & Sustainable Innovations, and/or Deep tech
• General understanding of funding programs.
• Residence in the Netherlands or willingness to relocate.
